About this tool

Instant Case Transformation for Writers and Developers

Accidentally leaving the Caps Lock key engaged or reformatting blog titles according to APA or Chicago title capitalization standards can require tedious manual retyping. Developers constantly switch between naming conventions like camelCase in JavaScript, snake_case in Python, and kebab-case in CSS.

Toolnova Case Converter provides instant one-click transformation between all conventional case formats. It intelligently recognizes sentence boundaries for Sentence case and capitalizes primary words for Title Case while respecting common prepositions.

Engineered for maximum workflow efficiency, each format includes a dedicated quick-copy button so you can paste results directly into your code editor or document.

Frequently asked questions about Case Converter

Common questions about usage, privacy, limits, and browser compatibility.

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes the first word and every major word, leaving short connector words lowercase. Sentence case lowercases the whole text, then capitalizes the first letter of each sentence after a period, question mark, or exclamation point. Use Title Case for headings and Sentence case for body copy.

Does converting change my punctuation or spacing?

UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, and Sentence case keep your existing punctuation and line breaks. The identifier styles, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, and kebab-case, rebuild the text from words, so punctuation, apostrophes, and accents are dropped. Use those styles for code names, not for sentences.

Is my text sent to a server?

Every conversion runs locally in your browser, so pasted paragraphs, client copy, and code identifiers stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or saved between visits. The copy buttons and downloads write directly to your own clipboard or downloads folder.

How do I fix text that was typed in all caps?

Click lowercase to flatten the whole block to small letters, then click Sentence case to restore capitals at the start of each sentence. Check names, acronyms, and product titles afterward, because the converter cannot tell a proper noun from an ordinary word. This is much faster than retyping a paragraph.

Why did Title Case make NASA or iPhone look wrong?

Title Case lowercases the rest of each word, so an acronym like NASA becomes Nasa and a brand like iPhone becomes Iphone. The converter cannot detect proper nouns or mixed-case names on its own. Fix those few words by hand after converting.

Can I convert camelCase to snake_case?

Paste an identifier such as myVariableName and choose snake_case to get my_variable_name. The converter splits at lowercase-to-uppercase boundaries and treats underscores, hyphens, and spaces as word breaks, so switching between camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, and kebab-case usually works cleanly. Acronyms written in all capitals may not split as expected, so review the output.
